Event Details
World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. We continue to consider this day important because it reminds the public and government that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.
BASIC NWFL, Inc. is collaborating with PanCare, Delta Sigma Theta, and the FL Dept. of Health of Bay County to organize an observance for the Bay County area. It has been scheduled for December 3rd and 4th, 2021 from 10AM to 2PM. We will be set up in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet in Callaway, FL (225 South Tyndall Parkway), and there are at least 10 other social service agencies that are planning to participate. We have worked hard to ensure that this is a family-friendly event that will provide education and opportunities for them to receive some free medical services.
